People pay 100’s of pounds for advertising on Google and Yahoo to get a top listing or for a paid listing. The paid listing usually comes from Adwords which is a paid service. Adwords and other paid services work on a Bidding system. The higher you want to rank, the more you pay. DirUK has no special way of getting to the top. We pay to get some of our listings to the top and we dont charge anybody. Fortunately we have a team who know their job & Their job is to get our ads to the top with minimal pay. Our adwords and payper click professionals work towards getting the maximum traffic to our site with minimal investment. Yes we usually pay dimes while some companies pay 100’s of pounds.
Yes, this services is FREE!!! Why?
The service was initially proposed to be a paid one as we spend around 50-60 pounds per day already on advertising. we would be easily touching a 1000 pounds if we had anything more than 500 listings. but we are new, no one knows us yet. The management found it viable to put in the advertising money into the site itself, to get customers who are willing to list their companies here. We thought (and hope) that our customers would recommend our services to other companies and soon it would turn out to be big enough to be known. once we stand a chance to compete with these big sharks is when we will charge.
Will we charge you later?
Nope! any one who is listed for free is listed for free and for life. We will not charge anything. Yes if you dont list now and after a week we have our few good customers (Considering that there are at least 100 new registrations a day) we may start charging.
How Many ads can i place for free?
Well initially we thought we should only allow one listing per account. but our developers thought that some people may want to dedicate one page for each of their product. so, If you register now, you get to put in a list of all your products and services in different pages. a 1000 products in 1000 pages and no restrictions on the number of ads you put here.
Is there a restriction on what i post?
Yes. Just 2.
1. No duplicate content. Everything is checked here. so if we find that you copy-paste something from your own site or from any other site, we will find it and cancel your subscription unless it happened to 1 in a 1000 ads you submitted and was a genuine mistake
2. No porn No Drugs, No hatred and all the things we despise. Keep it nice anything you write here just needs to be right ethically and thats all we ask.
